Founding Unity Engineer
Remote (US)
Full-time
Want to Change the World?
MintyBrain’s mission is to put an intelligent learning companion in the hands of every child and solve Bloom's 2 Sigma Problem.
For millennia, receiving one-on-one instruction from society’s greatest teachers has been out of reach for all but a privileged few students.
Now, for the first time in history, we have the technology to change that.
MintyBrain is building a digital tutor that will inspire children to love learning as they excel at it, made possible by the combination of AI and advanced game development.
The first step towards this mission is a product that will bring 5-11 year olds from zero knowledge to mastery of math concepts with no adult intervention.
This work has the potential to boost human intelligence more than anything else in history – and you have the potential to shape it.
What You'll Work On
In this role you will design and implement core app features, build new mathematics visualizations and AI-guided educational activities, and enhance our custom Unity editor tools to increase the team's output.
MintyBrain's digital tutor inspires kids to love learning while they achieve skill mastery in three phases:
1.) Conceptual Understanding
Our AI tutor teaches new concepts through visual, interactive, and highly entertaining lessons.
2.) Skill Building
Kids apply the concepts they've learned to solve puzzles and math problems in an untimed and guided setting.
3.) Fluency
They practice and master their skills by competing to earn in-game rewards and high-scores in challenge mode.
Until now MintyBrain's app and core technology have been a solo-development effort by its founder, Dan Zakon. Now it's time to assemble a team of talented and creative Unity engineers to achieve MintyBrain's ambitious plans for the future.
MintyBrain is an early stage startup backed by $1 million+ in seed funding, now hiring founding team members to join Dan in building world-changing educational software.
